Kim and Dave met at a bus stop and for Dave it was love at first sight. Luckily Kim worked with Dave’s best friend so he had the opportunity to find out a little more about her and get the chance to be introduced. Once they eventually started dated they soon worked out they were a good match for each other, one thing lead to another and here we are on their wedding day at The Chancellor’s Hotel in Manchester.

 CHANCELLORS HOTEL WEDDING CEREMONY

The Chancellors Hotel in Manchester is an idyllic setting to celebrate your special day. The hotel is a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian mansion house which makes a perfect wedding venue set in five acres of stunning landscaped gardens. Unfortunately on Kim and Dave’s wedding day we had rain pretty consistently falling all day so we had very minimal use of the gardens apart from a brief walk under an umbrella.

CHINESE WEDDING TEA CEREMONY

The civil wedding ceremony was held in the hotel’s carriage room where Kim & Dave said their vows to each other before a brief Chinese Tea Ceremony which represents a formal introduction of the bride and groom and shows respect to their families.  The guests were then invited in to the conservatory for a drinks reception while Kim and Dave spent a little time with myself and Craig, my assistant for the day, so we could capture a few nice portraits of the newly married couple. Following the wedding breakfast in the Flower’s Room and the speeches from the Groom, Best Man and the Father of the Bride, the newly married couple cut their wedding cake and had their first dance to kick off the evening celebrations.
