My use of Instagram in 2018

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years you’ll be well aware that Social Media is huge and over the last few years it has become an ever improving tool for business’ of all sizes to promote themselves to potential clients. I use Facebook and Instagram the most but have yet to embrace Twitter at all. Instagram is particularly good photographers as it is primarily a photo portfolio so it’s all about the images. The key to Instagram is getting your absolute very best photo on there and getting them noticed. I’m sure we’ve all heard of the Instafamous generation. People can actually make a very good living from just posting on Instagram utilising product placements. That’s not the route I’m taking but it is definitely a fantastic marketing tool that I use. So far in 2018 I have booked 4 weddings from people that have seen my work on Instagram and got in touch. The use of hashtags makes it really easy to target particular wedding venues, wedding suppliers, styles, trends and keywords that people search for when they’re looking for something in particular. Just the use of the tag #Blogtober will hopefully get any photos posted in October seen by a lot more people than normal. The pressure is on to make sure my October content shows the kind of content to draw in new clients.
