Shireburn Arms Wedding | Lucy & Daniel

Lucy and Daniel booked me as their wedding photographer after Lucy contacted me through my website and purely coincidentally, Lucy’s mum spoke to me at a wedding fair the very same day. We first met up for a chat about their wedding at The Shireburn Arms and I could tell that they’d definitely put a lot of thought in to making sure it was going to be a fantastic day.

BRIDAL PREPARATIONS AT THE FAMILY HOME

Lucy spent the morning at her parent’s house in Clitheroe where the make-up artist and hairdresser were working their magic on the bride, the 2 bridesmaids and the 2 flower girls. At the same time Daniel was at his home nearby where my assistant Kyle captured all the groomsmen looking very smart in their matching blue suits.

 CHURCH CEREMONY in SLAIDBURN

The wedding ceremony took place at St Andrew’s Church in Slaidburn where many of the locals had turned out to see the bride as she arrived for her wedding. Inside the stunning 15th century church the pews were filled with many of Lucy & Daniel’s friends and family who were there to give support on their big day. With readings from 2 of Lucy & Daniels friends and a very moving ceremony including a few hymns, this was certainly a wedding to remember.

 SHIREBURN ARMS WEDDING RECEPTION

Following the wedding ceremony everyone headed off to The Shireburn Arms Hotel in Hurst Green for a drinks reception on the rear patio of the venue followed by a gorgeous wedding breakfast while a magician entertained the guests before the 3 emotional and funny speeches from the groom, father of the bride and the best man. The day came to a close after the first dance followed by a packed dancefloor and the guests danced the night away.
