Mytton Fold Wedding | Amy & Christy

Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer

I first met up with Amy & Christy a year before their wedding at the stunning St Mary’s church in Goosnargh where Amy’s father is the vicar of the church. We chatted about their plans for the wedding and how the church would play a big part in their day as Amy would also be getting ready in the Vicarage just down the road.

BRIDAL PREPARATIONS AT THE VICARAGE

When I arrived at the vicarage on the day of their wedding, the girls were already starting with getting their hair and make-up done but the first thing I noticed was the smell of a full English breakfast being cooked and the table was set for them to all sit down together. They were so welcoming to me that they insisted I put my camera down for long enough to join them for breakfast which was a first for me. Photographers often struggle to get fed at weddings because we are so busy for the entire day so to start the day with such a filling breakfast was ideal. Future brides take note haha! Once we’d all finished eating it was back to hair and make-up and making sure everyone was ready for the day before Amy took the very short trip to the end of the road to get to the church on time.

ST MARY’S CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY

At the church I was joined by the assistant for the day Peter who would cover the rear of the church while I was up at the front for the ceremony. The order of service was lead by 2 of Amy’s father’s closes friends who had stepped in to officiate the ceremony to allow Amy’s father to be a father for the day rather than the vicar at his own church. And what a fabulous ceremony it was with the special personal touch that comes with the vicars having known the bride for so long.

MYTTON FOLD HOTEL WEDDING RECEPTION

After the church service, all the guests made their way a short distance to Mytton Fold Hotel in the Ribble Valley near Blackburn. With its panoramic views over the Ribble Valley, Mytton Fold Hotel is the ideal venue for a wedding. After a few drinks and canapes in the bar, the guests made their way in to the banqueting suite where PC Roadshows had everyone on their feet and dancing on the chairs before the wedding breakfast was served and the speeches made. The evening then came to a close with Amy & Christie having their first dance before their guests joined them on the dance floor to dance the rest of the night away.

I loved being a part of Amy and Christie’s wedding so if you’re planning your own Mytton Fold Hotel wedding then please get in touch.
