Being asked to photograph someone’s wedding based on a personal recommendation is always the best way to get any new booking and that was certainly the case with Katie & Jason’s wedding. I was lucky enough to have photographed the weddings of Jason’s sister and his cousin back in 2014 so seeing a lot of familiar faces from his family was a real pleasure.
MITTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
As soon as Katie and Jason first contacted me about their wedding and they told me they’d be getting married at Mitton Hall I was already excited about their wedding. Mitton Hall, which is part of the James’ Places group of wedding venues, is a fabulous country manor house in the heart of the Ribble Valley with ancient architectural features and a unique ambience with its roaring fires and oak panelled rooms. Its fantastic interior and the beautiful gardens at the rear make it one of the best wedding venues in the North West.
THE WEDDING PREPARATIONS
Katie spent the morning preparing for her wedding in one of the intimate oak panelled rooms of Mitton Hall with her bridesmaids having their hair and make-up done before Katie was ready to get in to her wedding dress. Meanwhile, Jason was over the road with his groomsmen at The Aspinall Arms pub enjoying a few last minute drinks in the sunshine.
Wedding Ceremony in the new conservatory
Katie looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle in to Mitton Hall’s new conservatory to meet a very proud looking Jason for their civil ceremony. After exchanging their vows and the best man handing Jason an onion ring instead of his wedding ring the bride and groom had their first kiss as man and wife before making their way back outside to be greeted by their family and friends and the first photos as newlyweds.
Back in to the party room
After some exquisite food being served to the wedding party for the wedding breakfast and 3 hilarious and emotional speeches the guests partied the night away on the dancefloor until the early hours.
