It was a pleasure to be Anna and Fraser's photographer on their big day. The couple celebrated their wedding at Aloft in Liverpool, Merseyside. Aloft is a hip new hotel in the iconic Grade II-listed Royal Insurance Building, where you're surrounded by history and modernity which makes it such an exciting place to photograph a wedding, Photographing there was very special, can't wait to come back. Working as a wedding photographer in Liverpool, gives me great opportunities to work with lovely couples like Anna and Fraser, in perfect locations like this one.
GROOM PREPARATIONS AT THE FAMILY HOME
Anna began getting ready for her wedding using 2 adjoining rooms in Aloft overlooking the city streets of Liverpool. As she had her hair and makeup finished I photographed the story as it developed. At the same time, Fraser was getting ready at his home in Widnes where my assistant Carys Pritchard was there to focus on his preparation and the moments shared with his best man and the rest of his groomsmen
WEDDING CEREMONY AT ALOFT IN LIVERPOOL
The wedding ceremony took place in the gorgeous Titanic Room at Aloft which has fantastic light especially when the weather is so nice as it was on their wedding day. After a short civil service and a couple of readings, the newlyweds made their way to the mezzanine bar for their guests to congratulate them during the drinks reception. The guests were then back to the Titanic Room for some emotional speeches and a lovely wedding breakfast.
BRIDE AND GROOM PORTRAITS ON THE LIVERPOOL CITY STREETS
It was a lovely refreshing change to be able to photograph a city centre wedding which gave us the opportunity to do something a little different with the bride and groom portraits so we all went for a walk in the city streets surrounding Aloft to give a nice urban look to their photos as well as using some of the fantastic features within the hotel.
Later in the evening Anna & Fraser the partying with their first dance after which their friends joined them on the dance floor to dance the night away. Congratulations to the newlyweds on a fantastic wedding day. I hope you enjoy a long and happy marriage together.
