Hazel Gap Barn Wedding Photography
This was my first visit to Hazel Gap Barn which is a dramatic red-brick barn on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire. With its traditional oak timber and elegant arches, the main barn is the ideal location for a wedding ceremony. A large fireplace, fairy lights and giant candelabra bathe the space in light and create a romantic atmosphere. The light-filled Oak Room has views over the gardens and woodland on one side and a bar that spills out onto the courtyard. Here, guests can feast in style. The in-house chefs flame-grill food over a giant BBQ and rotisserie. Surrounded by the barn buildings, the Hazel Gap courtyard is sheltered and peaceful, with a fountain, mulberry trees, seating and planters. At night the courtyard is lit up with fairy lights, fire pits and lanterns.
Groom Preparations on the farm
I started the day at Dayne's farm where he lives before following their convoy of Land Rovers to Hazel Gap Barn for the wedding ceremony in the gorgeous candlelit ceremony room. Later on the guests went out on the to patio in the courtyard for a drinks reception before we took the newlyweds for a quick walk through the woods and in to the neighbouring corn field for some romantic portraits.
Wedding Reception in the Oak Room
The guests then enjoyed a fantastic barbecue cooked wedding breakfast before listening to some fantastic speeches made by Dayne and his best man. The evening was then finished off with hours of dancing late in to the night back in the barn.
