Bridal preparations with Sarah Meredith Hair & Make-Up

Catherine began the day at a near by hotel with 3 of her bridesmaids being made to look their beautiful best by the fantastic Sarah Meredith who had already done all their hair by the time I arrived so it was time for the girls to have their make-up applied. With a few glasses of prosecco to keep the nerves at bay, the girls had a great time getting ready and kept the bride to be nice and relaxed. Once they were all ready it was time to head off to the church for the wedding ceremony.

Church ceremony with hymns and readings

With the groom already at the church and the guests waiting patiently for her arrival, Catherine got to the church just in time to be walked down the aisle by her father with a beaming smile on her face. The ceremony was both beautifully romantic and amusing and the bride and groom were delighted to be pronouced husband and wife in front of all their family and friends. Once the ceremony was finished the newly weds walked out of the church to a stream of confetti before getting showing their guests on to the 1940s bus which would take them to Adlington Hall for their wedding reception.

Adlington Hall Wedding Reception

This was my first time as an Adlington Hall Wedding Photographer and it was such a delight to see how beautiful the venue is inside and out. The main hall dates back as far as the 16th century and the superbly kept gardens were ideal for some bride and groom portraits especially as the sun was beaming down on us through the trees. After some mingling with the guests on the lawn, we were invited inside for the wedding breakfast which was shortly followed by the speeches, the cutting of the cake then the traditional first dance. The band then made sure the dancefloor stayed full for the rest of the night as the wedding party danced until the early hours of the morning. I have to admit, I really enjoyed my day as an Adlington Hall Wedding Photographer and I hope you enjoy the photos below just as much.
