The Mansion, Roundhey Park Wedding Photographer

It's not often I get over the pennines to Yorkshire to shoot a wedding so I've been looking forward to the wedding of Ellie and Lee for ages and it certainly didn't disappoint.
The Mansion in Roundhay Park provides the luxury of a stately home wedding with the convenience of being just 15 minutes from the centre of Leeds. Steeped in history, the Grade II listed building is set in over 700 acres of gorgeous Roundhey Park, overlooking lakes and woodland.

The Mansion Wedding Venue

The Mansion can host weddings with seating for 134 guests for dinner in The Mansion room, with a maximum capacity of 220 standing for a party or evening reception.
The beautiful Greek Palladian style mansion has established itself as one of Leeds’ special wedding & events venues and is packed with period features like the magnificent sweeping grand staircase complete with a 54,000 crystal chandelier! This, combined with the carved mahogany banister and customisable internal lighting, provides the perfect setting for your wedding and is one of the reasons I was really looking forward to being The Mansion Wedding Photographer.
The modern features, wrapped within a beautifully restored Grade II listed building in Roundhay Park, are just a few of the reasons why The Mansion remains an ever popular wedding venue in the north of England and continues to collect award nominations!

Ellie & Lee's The Mansion Wedding

For Ellie and Lee's wedding, the bride and groom were each given one of the upstairs rooms to begin their day getting ready so my assistant Nathan and I spent some time with them before making they way down the grand staircase for Ellie to see her very emotional dad who would then walk her down the aisle. The nerves really kicked in with Ellie as she walked towards her groom with tears of joy.
After a beautiful wedding ceremony the newly married couple were joined on the front terrace of The Mansion by all their guests with fantastic views over Roundhey Park which is one of the best things about being The Mansion Wedding Photographer.
Just before all their ring guests sat down for their wedding breakfast, I took Ellie & Lee out for a walk round part of Roundhey Park for their newlywed portraits which included loads of smiles from the happy bride and groom.

The night ended for me with the first dance followed by some of the guests joining them on the dancefloor to party until the early hours of the morning.

Below is a slideshow showing the highlights of the day or you can scroll through the photos individually if you prefer.
