Liverpool Town Hall Wedding | Hannah & Andrew

Hannah and Andrew only booked me to photograph their wedding just 6 weeks before the big day but straight away I could tell it was going to be an amazing day at 2 fantastic venues.

Preparations at The Titanic Hotel, Liverpool

Both Hannah and Andrew were in separate rooms of the historic Titanic Hotel at Stanley Docks in Liverpool. The hotel is set in what was once a busy warehouse so each of the rooms are huge and full of character. What particularly drew them to spend the morning in this hotel is that it overlooks the derelict building on the opposite side of the dock where part of their favourite TV programme, Peaky Blinders, was filmed. My assistant Rachel spent the morning with Andrew and his groomsmen getting ready and heading down to the bar for a few drinks while I spent time with Hannah and a few of the ladies as they had their makeup done by Carly B. Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress which was supplied by Confetti Box in Manchester.

Liverpool Town Hall Wedding Photography

The wedding ceremony took place in the Council Chamber of Liverpool Town Hall which needed no decoration as it is already well decorated with its oak and mahogany woodwork panels. It is certainly a unique room to host a wedding but that is exactly why Hannah and Andrew thought it was so perfect for them. With music being played before and after the wedding ceremony by a fantastic string quartet, Leo's Strings, there was a lovely romantic atmosphere in the room.

Liverpool Town Hall Ball Room Wedding Reception

Liverpool Town Hall has several ball rooms, all of which are very ornate and make an amazing venue to host a wedding reception. The large ballroom has the guests seated beneath three of the finest Georgian chandeliers in Europe and the full floor to ceiling mirrors at either end make the room look even larger than it already is. After a 3 course wedding breakfast catered by Carringtons Catering there were some lovely speeches from the groom, father of the bride and the best man then some of the tables were cleared to make way for the dancefloor with the live music being provided by The Radio Kings.

A huge thanks to Rachel Clarke Photography for assisting me with this wedding.
