Worsley Marriott Hotel Wedding | Rebecca & Matthew

In my ongoing quest to continue learning and improving my photography I made the decision to do some second shooting for a few other fantastic wedding photographers to get an insight in to how they work. In July I got the chance to shoot alongside Nik Bryant Photography who had requested a couple of extra photographers for his summer weddings due to his wife expecting a baby and not wanting to be stuck at a wedding and miss the birth of his first child. Luckily Nik became a Dad for the first time just a few days before this wedding so the pressure was off for myself and Charli assisting him but he was severely sleep deprived so having us there to assist him was certainly a very welcome help.

GROOM PREPARATIONS AT THE MARRIOTT HOTEL IN WORSLEY

I started the morning at the Marriott Hotel in Worsley near Manchester to spend some time with Matthew and his groomsmen who were chilling in the hotel bar before they spent more time than I’ve ever seen any other bridal party pinning the flowers to their suits. I regularly see people struggling with which side to pin the flowers and how to actually pin without causing harm or having the flower fall off but luckily they got there in the end before the car arrived to take Matthew off to the church to greet his guests.

ST PAUL'S CHURCH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Once we got to St Paul’s Church in Rochdale, Matthew was there to greet his guests outside the beautiful church before making his way inside to take his place at the front of the pews to await his bride. Luckily Rebecca arrived right on time with her flowergirl and bridesmaids to be walked down the aisle by her father. We were then treated to a fabulous long service with some well sung hymns and a couple of readings before Rebecca and Matthew were pronounced as husband and wife.

WORSLEY HOLIDAY INN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Back at the Marriott Hotel in Worsley, we took the newley weds for a quick walk around the grounds for a few couples portraits before taking their seats for a fantastic wedding breakfast, some hilarious and emotional speeches and of course several glasses of champagne for the toasts. Then as the sun began to set beyond the golf course next to the hotel, we had a final portrait shoot before Rebecca and Matthew’s first dance and the start of the party as all the guests hit the dancefloor.

It was a real pleasure to shoot with Nik so I hope you enjoy all the photos below.
