Anvil Hall, Gretna Green Wedding Photographer
Samantha and King both live and work in London but made the decision to get married several hundred miles north, in Gretna Green with just their very close family in attendance to enjoy the day with them. Due to the nature of their small wedding, I was only booked to give them 2 hours of photography coverage starting with the ceremony then spending the rest of the time creating some lovely portraits of the two of them.
Anvil Hall Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was at Anvil Hall which is recognised throughout the world as the premier wedding venue in Gretna Green, Scotland. They perform civil weddings, religious weddings and civil partnership ceremonies over the legendary Gretna Anvil. Anvil Hall has gained its reputation thanks to its romantic setting and stunning interior. Being a family owned wedding venue, they certainly go all out to provide a very personalised service.

Samantha arrived at Anvil Hall in her stunning wedding dress from Wed2Be to be walked down the 50ft wide aisle by her father to meet her groom who was patiently waiting for her at the Anvil where they would say their vows. King was full of smiles at the sight of his gorgeous bride. This was the first time I’ve had the pleasure of being an Anvil Hall Wedding Photographer or even a Gretna Green Wedding Photographer. The interior of Anvil Hall has so many beautiful features, I could photograph bride and groom portraits in there all day but after the signing of the register was complete, we headed outside for a confetti shot at the main doorway then we made the short journey to the other side of Gretna Green to Greens of Gretna where Samantha, King and their families were planning on spending the rest of the evening. I was only there for a short time so we quickly found some great spots for a few more portraits in the gardens and inside the hotel. I’m pretty sure all the photos we managed to create will be a fantastic reminder of their Gretna Green Wedding.
