Garden Marquee Wedding | Liz & Daniel

When Liz and Daniel first contacted me to shoot their wedding we had to wait a few weeks to meet up because they weren’t local. So when I found out they lived in Dubai I got really excited about the opportunity to jump on a plane to go to the middle east for a wedding. It turns out that Liz and Daniel were actually getting married in England in Liz’s home town of Stafford with the reception to be held in a huge marquee in the garden of Liz’s parent’s home. This wedding wouldn’t quite have the weather of Dubai but it sounded like it was going to be just as amazing.

Bridal Preparations at the family home

Liz began her day at her parents stunning rural home in Stafford with her bridesmaids and her mum having their hair and makeup done while sipping on champagne and eating strawberries. All the ladies looked absolutely stunning by the time they were ready to leave for the church. Meanwhile, Daniel and his groomsmen were a little more chilled having a few drinks in the pub just round the corner from St Austin’s Catholic Church in Stafford which is one of the biggest and most ornate churches I’ve ever had the pleasure to go in.

Catholic Church Wedding Ceremony

As the father of the bride stood side by side with Liz at the end of the aisle he looked so proud to be walking his lovely daughter in to the church to meet her groom for the wedding. The ceremony itself consisted of several well sung hymns and a couple of emotional readings before the happy couple, who were all smiles throughout, were pronounced man and wife. The newlyweds then led all the guests outside to be greeted by a stream of confetti.

Garden Marquee Wedding Reception

Having parents with a huge garden in a beautiful location makes the choice of wedding reception an easy one. A big marquee is something a little bit different and makes any wedding all the more interesting and memorable. Luckily with the blue skies we had all day the guests were able to make use of the hay bales outside to sit in the sun and enjoy their drinks until they hit the dancefloor later on while the band played late in to the night.
