Colshaw Hall - Cheshire Wedding Venue

If you’re currently searching for a Cheshire wedding venue then you should look no further than Colshaw Hall which is one of the most exclusive and luxurious Cheshire wedding venues you could find. Share your wedding dreams with them and they’ll make them come true. Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, it really is an idyllic setting. It’s no surprise that Colshaw Hall is so popular with so many Cheshire Bride and Grooms.

As a photographer, Colshaw Hall is a dream wedding venue to work at with so many amazing areas nside and out. With the capacity to host weddings both indoors in The Stables and outdoor ceremonies within its 300 acre grounds, Colshaw Hall has something for everyone. The gardens are absolutely stunning with a good mix of trees, colourful flowers and wide open spaces. Taking the bride and groom for a walk is perfect for those couples portraits after the wedding ceremony.

Morning Wedding Preparations

For the wedding of Dominique & Tom, I was working alongside David Stubbs as his assistant for the day. We started by meeting up at the AirB&B that Tom had rented for his groom prep to spend the morning getting ready with the rest of his groomsmen before a short drive across Cheshire to Dominique’s parent’s home where she was being pampered by her hair and make-up artists along with her bridesmaids. Once they were all ready, they made their way to the church for the wedding ceremony where Tom and all the guests were already waiting for them.

Wedding Reception at Colshaw Hall

After a beautiful wedding ceremony, the newly married couple made their way down one of the longest confetti lines I’ve ever seen before getting back in to the Rolls Royce to make their way to Colshaw Hall for their wedding reception. Upon arrival, they were greeted by their master of ceremonies and the Colshaw Hall staff who announced them to their awaiting guests for a few drinks and some mingling. It was then on to the main hall for some very emotional speeches followed by the wedding breakfast.

After the wedding breakfast came my favourite part of the day when we get to take the bride and groom for a walk round the grounds of the wedding venue for some romantic portraits. Colshaw Hall is an ideal setting for photos like this because of the wide open greenery, the trees and the backdrop of the hall itself. Keeping it all very natural, Dominique and Tom went for a walk, while I followed them at a distance and capturing those little moments they’ll treasure forever. The night then came to close as The Rush performed their routine of modern covers causing the dancefloor to fill with all the guests having a great night to remember.

Enjoy the Photos!
